Ok,I have a job offer at cracker barrel in my town the promblem with that is I am not going to be able to be there for all the training(it is a new store opening)for child care reasons. They are willing to work with me after the training though I am scared they will let me go because I will miss 2 training days.should I go apply at other places. This wasn't the job I really wanted but it is the something better than nothing thing. So I am suppose to be there tommorrow at 2 for paperwork. The posistion is waitressing would you go or keep looking till you found more of what you wantedJob issues?
tough situation when you have children...Long-term::we have issues all the time with our temps, they are usually single mothers and are constantly late or running out early to grab their kids...it's understandable...but also you have a job to do...you are getting paid to work, and when she is not there, it's a strain on everyone else. Employers get sick of it after a while.
in this case, before being hired...talk to the trainer and let them decide...you need to be trained properly, and if you're not there...what's the point...
I personally, would keep looking.
i would talk to the manager or the person that hired you. since it is a new store they will probably have alot of people to train anyway so it really shouldnt be a problem if you cant make it.Job issues?
I would go and explain the situation. I think you will do well in tips there.
Keep looking. You will find something more along the lines of what you want soon.
Go apply, but still look for other jobs while waiting for answer, let the interviewer know the reason for missing the two days ahead of time it shows honesty, you have to sale your self to any employer you want to work for, meaning show initative, show that you really want the job even if you care less.
Well depending on how bad you need the money, if you're okay then wait for the better one, no since in them taking the time and money to train you and then you bail on them but if you need cash now then i say dont wait around on a better job that may not even come, good luck and hope this helps, I love the food and atmosphere at Cracker Barrel by the way.
